Testimonies
of Light
 The
following links are stories of Swami Kriyananda from those who have
known him the best, his lifelong friends. Some of these were written
as notes of appreciation for Kriyananda's 70th birthday last year.
Others are heartfelt thank you notes to someone who has changed
their lives. Last year Kriyananda celebrated 50 years of his discipleship
to his guru, Paramhansa Yogananda.
While many of
the stories are very personal, they are also universal in how they
exemplify the attitudes of discipleship, friendship, unconditional
love, and gratitude.
Kriyananda
is currently residing in Gurgaon, a suburb of New Delhi, India,
where we have several Ananda ashrams. He continues to teach,
write books and correspondence courses, and record daily TV shows
on the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda.
"I find
that my life has been enriched beyond possible imagination by trying
to be as much like Master as possible. This is my deepest and most
constant prayer. "May my thoughts be your thoughts." I
pray that. I want that. And I find that it is more and more true.
The closer you come to God and Master, the more you will become
completely yourself. The more you come to this ray [of the Masters],
the more you find in a human way that you become like them. Your
thoughts will be their thoughts. And your life will be beautiful
because of it."
