Inner Peace News & Meditation Wisdom from The Essence of the Bhagavad Gita
Dear Meditator,
May this Holiday Season and New Year be a time of universal love and profound peace. May you feel your unity with all creation and realize your true nature ever more deeply.
The feature article for this month’s Daily Meditator is “Meditation Wisdom from the Bhagavad Gita.” This article contains excerpts from Chapter Eighteen of Swami Kriyananda’s new book, The Essence of the Bhagavad Gita: Explained by Paramhansa Yogananda. These encouraging passages were selected because sometimes we all feel discouraged with our meditations. These excerpts can help you to be steady and to persevere in your practice.
We have had a marvelous response to last month’s Daily Meditator, which announced our new internet meditation movie, The Gift of Inner Peace. Two thousand people viewed the movie in its first week, and we continue to receive superb comments.
Sharing the movie is a wonderful way to promote the idea that we can cultivate inner peace in our lives. I encourage you to take a moment to think of friends and colleagues who might benefit from viewing The Gift of Inner Peace. Below are ten ways—or reasons—to share it with someone:
- Introduce friends and relatives to meditation
- Send it as a holiday gift to clients
- Reconnect with an old friend
- Give it as a thank you after receiving a gift
- Link to the Gift of Inner Peace from your website
- Encourage a fellow meditator
- Promote an upcoming meditation class
- Wish someone a happy birthday
- Play during a meditation or yoga class
- Send as a note of appreciation to those who’ve attended your class or event
In this issue:
May you have a joyous Christmas and New Year!

In Divine Joy,
Bharat Cornell
