The Daily
Meditator: November 2005
"Practicing Silence"
Dear Meditator,
The topic of
this month's Daily Meditator is Practicing Silence. "No
spiritual exercise is as good as that of silence," said
a hermit of the
early Christian church. In meditation, we redirect our normal outward
flow of
energy, inward; practicing silence supports this by keeping our
energy centered and interiorized.
In the article, "The Benefits of Speaking Less," Swami
Kriyananda says,"The more people talk, the less energy they have." This
article contains
excerpts from Swami Kriyananda's marvelous new course, Material
Success
Through Yoga Principles.
The second
article, "Being Quiet," offers
you a
technique to use when it isn't appropriate to keep absolute silence.
In this issue:
May your practice
of silence bring you ever closer to the Infinite!
